We needed a larger VRBO to house the entire family for a weekend get away to Silver Mountain. This is a perfect location. Quite neighborhood just off the freeway. My son ended up locking keys in car but the host referred us to a locksmith just down the road and problem solved. Great place for our extended family to chill

We came to the Tabor house to ride the bicycle trails on the abandoned rail grade trails in the area (Betterroot 300). Work great for 5 adults each needing a bedroom. Everything we needed was there and working. House was very clean, well appointed and TV’s with internet connections in all the LR and bedrooms but no cable or local channels. Front porch was great for relaxing and saying hi to neighbors and visitors. We were able to walk to downtown and restaurants every day and the town is small and friendly with a number of small topical museums. The house gets 5 stars for cleanliness, but the pack patio had not been swept for some time. The front porch was the place to pass the time.

Thank you for your review and notification about the back porch, we do our best to have the home ready for our guests. Local channels can be found on the tiles on Roku as well as other channels that you may not have seen. The home is well stocked and close to downtown. The front porch is great for sitting and relaxing and enjoying your beverages. Getting together with family and friends in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Tabor House. People commented on what a fun place it was with interesting things to discover and read about. We played some shuffle board, used the juke box and spent evenings on the front porch. The kitchen and dining room had room for prepping food for and feeding everyone. Scotty was a great host providing all the information we needed and responding quickly. Wallace is also a fun town and you can walk or ride your bike everywhere. I’d definitely stay at Tabor House again.

Our kids loved the attic area. They loved the toys, air hockey, and TV. The home has many pictures showing the history of Wallace which was really cool. The house was clean and plenty big for our group. We really enjoyed our stay!

“Our family finally went on Hiawatha trail bike ride we have been talking about for years. Tabor house was perfect and had all the amenities that we needed for the family to have a relaxing time especially after the Hiawatha ride. It was big enough to hold our family comfortably, the attic room was perfect for the kids with the games. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable for the adults, it had something for everyone to do. Since we did the Hiawatha on Saturday we did not us the bikes but there were definitely a good number of bike that we could have used to ride around town there were several good bike paths we could have used. We did walk around Wallace and took the trolley tour which was quite informative about Wallace’s history. It turned out to be a very enjoyable weekend Thank you”

The layout, the rooms, the exceptionally well stocked kitchen, the games (shuffleboard, air hockey, board games, Wii, etc., etc., etc.), the music collection, the dvd’s… You get the picture. The hosts are very responsive. Scotty gave us recommendations on events in town and was at the ready when we had a small issue with the heat (thermostat needed new batteries, which were on the premises!). Wallace is charming, and just a 12-min drive from Kellogg (if you’re in the region for Silver Mountain). If your architectural taste is restricted to what’s in Dwell magazine, it may take some getting used to, but I say let your hair down and embrace the funkiness”.

It is perfect for large groups with 4 spacious bedrooms and the 5th bedroom loft area is fabulous for all the kids in the family. Our three teens enjoyed their own space up there! The town of Wallace is so quaint and has a great Main Street to explore. We recommend the Fainting Goat Wine Bar and Bistro. The costume closet lends itself perfectly to a murder mystery dinner game as a part of your family getawy/celebration. Scotty responds promptly to all inquiries – finding salt for the winter sidewalk, etc. There were no problems with the house and communication is the best we’ve experienced with VRBO. We have rented houses in Wallace for an annual bike ride on the Hiawatha with friends. This is our first stay at the Tabor House. We absolutely loved the house and especially the porch! It can accommodate a large group sharing an evening! The kitchen is large and the dining room was great!! The bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The house is very well stocked and pretty much had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and am so grateful we were able to stay there.

Well kept home with lots of charm and with some very interesting memorabilia. We were steps away from downtown which offered eateries, a very interesting museum depicting the silver mining industry so prevalent in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, plus a variety of antique shops. Toured the Sierra Silver Mine which was so interesting, and also did a bike ride on the nearby Hiawatha Trail…a 15 mile downhill trail going thru a number of tunnels and some trestles that offered some awesome views of the valley! The owner of the property was very accommodating and answered any of my questions within minutes. A great place to spend a few days on our way to Glacier National Park. I highly recommend it”!

“Tabor house fit our needs perfectly. We were a large party with six kiddos on the ski team. We were there for a race at Lookout. The house was spacious and we weren’t ever on top of each other. There is a newly remodeled attic with games, dress up clothes, tv, beanbag etc that was a haven for the kids after a long day of racing. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook our own meals. It was great having a washer and dryer also to dry out our ski stuff for the next day. The hosts were fantastic and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. Location was wonderful in a quiet beautiful neighborhood. We look forward to staying again next season”.

“We are a family of four and stayed here with some friends (a family of 5). We loved how much space we had for the kids, and they were very content to play upstairs in the attic area. There were toys, books, an air hockey table, puzzles, games, movies, etc. The front yard and back yard are fenced in which was helpful for the 2 year old. We cooked all of our meals there, and I would say the kitchen is well-supplied. The beds were also surprisingly comfortable, and it was nice to have a TV in the bedrooms in case we wanted to watch something without disturbing anyone else. We had a great time!! Very relaxing”.
