Having been built in 1895, there have been many changes to the home. Some of the things we are showing here were discovered when we added our own updates and repairs to the home.

The Tabor House in the early 1900’s. It is unknown who the woman is holding the child in the photo.

When a corner of the home was raised to level the foundation, it was discovered that river rock had been used as a support for the original foundation of the house.

When the front deck was redone, we discovered the original porch post supports which showed that the deck was shorter than it presently is.

When the attic windows were updated, we discovered the original gingerbread and diamond shape design on the house which had been covered by the aluminum siding.

Inside one wall upstairs, we discovered a closet located below the attic stairwell. The original wallpaper was still in place.

In one of the areas of the home is a hidden room which has yet to be worked on. It gives a good look at home construction in the 1800 and 1900s.
WHO WAS GEORGE TABOR?

We are sure there are many more secrets in the home, as we discover them, we will post them for all to enjoy.
